This is NOT your typical firearm safety class. It’s well boyond the norm.
This is an indoor classroom and scenario room course with no live ammunition.  We use UTM non-marking rounds (same as the Military and Law Enforcement use for training) on modified Glock model pistols or RAM Glock 17 replica models firing .43 cal rubber ammo for the scenarios.  All equipment for the scenarios and shooting portions will be provided at no extra cost.  You will use your own handgun, holster, and magazines for the rest of the course, with no live ammunition allowed in the building.  If you don’t have a handgun, holster, or magazines, we can loan you those too for a small additional fee! (indicate when registering).

CHP+: Concealed Handgun Permit Certification Plus (sometimes referred to as a CCW incorrectly in CO).
What’s the Plus?
This class FAR exceeds the training standards and requirements you need to apply for your Concealed Handgun Permit in Colorado. You will receive a certificate that meets the requirements for documentation, but so much more training than that. The class is great for a very beginners, hobbyists, or even experienced shooters and those who ALREADY have a permit, but don’t feel the training they received somewhere else was enough. Regardless of whether you intend to apply for your permit or not, this is a MUST DO class. Lunch is included in your registration!

HGF2 is the 2nd in the series Handgun Courses from Tactical Krav Maga and CO Krav Maga.  Now that you’ve learned how recover from malfunctions, how to effectively and correctly use cover and concealment, and learned how to clear your dwelling of threats…take it to the next level!  Drill on reloading under stress, clearing difficult malfunctions and when to do it, alternate shooting positions, and working in low light/dark environments with a flashlight.

We’ll take you through parts of the exclusive and original ACT curriculum.  Armed Civilians Tactics training is a new program developed by our Force Training Team at Colorado Krav Maga (the Tactical Krav Maga group) and encompasses new techniques for self-defense while armed in or out of the holster.

You’ll maximize training and stress inoculation with drills in;

• Alternative Shooting positions
• Self Defense with transitions to your handgun
• Self defense with your handgun IN YOUR HAND
• Low Light/Flashlight work
• Off-Hand Shooting
• Speed & Tactical Reloads
• Shoot/NO Shoot scenarios with our actors
• AND…HANDGUN RETENTION! Probably the most important but also most overlooked training in the entire firearms industry.

You will need your pistol, holster (with a sturdy belt), minimum 2 magazines, a small flashlight (preferably with a end-cap switch) and eye protection.  Loaner gear is available.  NO LIVE AMMUNITION WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING.

Requirements and gear you provide:

• You should have some training on drawing from a holster (email us if you’re no sure; info@coloradokravmaga.com). We will be re-visiting the basics.
• 400 rounds Pistol Ammunition
• Belt holster or IWB for your handgun that SECURELY fastens to belt or pants and has positive retention during high levels of movement.  Shoulder Rigs will not be allowed.
• Min 2 magazines for your handgun, 3 is better.
• Carry case for your handgun
• Hat, Ear and Eye protection
• All terrain footwear (boots or hiking shoes, etc.  Sneakers not recommended)
• Rain gear
• Warm clothing
• Change of clothes
• Snacks or your own dietary needs
• Hydration System is recommended but not required, we will have water on site.
• Camping gear (REQUIRED for Camping Option.  We DO NOT provide camping gear)

This is a 2-day course in the Colorado Great Outdoors.  Toilet facilities are bag-and-go privacy tents and sleeping arrangements on site are tent sites.  You have the option of booking your own hotel overnight 30 minutes away.    If you are not comfortable camping and roughing it, this course may not be for you.
